2007 Season - Week 16

With Marcus scoring the fewest points this week he has been dragged back into the relegation dogfight. He is just 5 points ahead of Chief who has moved out of the dropzone, moving 2 points ahead of Dave G with John just 2 further points from safety. That’s just 9 points separating all 4 owners and 2 will join Aaron in the Conference next year. The final game of the regular season is Tennessee @ Indianapolis which features 3 players from the relegation teams:- Peyton Manning (Marcus), Anthony Gonzalez (John) and Vince Young (Chief) . Injured Reserve Prior to week 16 Ron replaced TE Jeremy Shockey with Jaguars wideout Reggie Williams and Chief replaced Roy Williams with Denver’s WR Brandon Marshall. Over Christmas more players have been put on IR and so can be replaced. On Dec 22nd Laveraneus Coles was put on IR by the Jets and H has signed Green Bay Tight End Donald Lee as his replacement. In last weeks game Willie Parker broke his leg on his first carry of the game and was put on IR on Xmas Eve but Cheryl cannot replace him as she has spent all $10 million and Willie is a franchise player. Then on Boxing Day the Chiefs finally placed Larry Johnson on IR after he missed the last 7 games. John has until 11pm on Saturday to select a replacement though this would be against his strategy (LJ is his franchise man until the end of the year so to replace him would result in John spending $4.5 million!) BUMS Meal Don’t forget we are planning to go to Bodeans (American BBQ style restaurant) in Poland Street, London W1 on Friday evening January 18th for an end of season get together. BUMS on Seats With no game on Thursday night we will be meeting at HQ from 4pm on Sunday 30th to firstly see the Saturday Night game as the NY Giants host New England in a game that could see them go 16-0, followed at 6pm by Sky’s doubleheader New Orleans (who must win) @ Chicago followed by Minnesota (who must win) @ Denver & Dallas @ Washington (who must win if Minnesota win). The late night game is Tennessee @ Indianapolis which we will get together during the day on Dec 31st.
